Piping & Equipment Engineering - Projects

Our project consisted of surveying the existing facilities for the later erection and assembly of three gas compression packages (separators, coalescing filter, coolers, drainage tanks, oil tanks, scrubbers, SDV,  etc), and its warehouse including a 3TN crane bridge, having delivered the complete detailed engineering, civil concrete bases, isometrics, HAZOP and Stress mechanical analysis under ASTM A53/A106/API 5L standards, electrical and instrumentation detailed engineering, startup procedures and its complete wiring and erection on site.

The work consisted of surveying the existing facilities for the later erection of a Vaporization Skid, which would be integrated into the field facilities, the Guanaco Campo is a gas compression Plant with two compressors, separation, liquids drainage and a flare for burning residual gases.

In order to assembly this equipment to the installation, it was necessary the rearrangement of gas lines, venting lines, drainages lines, electrical supply, control and instrumentation lines.

Piping documentation was delivered with component´s lists, supports, list of supports, skid design, a new perimeter fence, general lighting design, and instruments erection and connection procedures.

This project consisted of surveying existing facilities and based on this first assessment, determine the consequences of a complete Shut Down of the Plant, either related to an operational need or an unexpected reason (equipment failure or issues with the electricity supply system). Based on the findings of the study of both type of shutdowns, a series of proposals were made, divided into a) improvements of the existing facilities and, b) recommendations made in case the unexpected event occurs and minimize the impact of the GSD on the plant. This last one can have consequences of significant magnitude, such as fire in the facilities and its spread through the surrounding field, adding a greater inventory to the event.

This Thermal Power Plant is located in Buenos Aires consisting having 4 turbines of 28MW each with a total power delivery of 112MW, assembled by the company APR Energy and generating for ENRE-CAMMESA-EDENOR, the work carried out by our company consisted on the execution of the detailed engineering of the Natural Gas Processing plant consisting in a bridge regulation, two measurement bridges, gas filtration and drying equipment, Civil engineering concrete bases for the different equipment, lighting columns, sidewalks, property perimeter fence, etc. We were handled the complete mechanical and piping engineering solution, for connecting the different equipment with the turbo generators, electrical engineering, instrumentation and communications Shelter.

The Gran Chaco Gasification Plant was built in order to extract the liquids from natural gas wells, to later be exported to Argentina and Brazil, the liquids separation allowed Bolivia to obtain gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas for supplying the local market.

We were handled the total electrical and instrumentation engineering for the plant, the total design of the Medium and Low Voltage system including electrical boards, materials computation, on field assistance, commissioning, pre-commissioning and start up procedures of the Gasification Plant

This project consisted of the execution of the detailed engineering of the main power substation Medium / High Voltage (100MVA) which included: Civil, electrical and Mechanical conceptual and detailed engineering. In this project we were also handled the complete erection of the civil buildings, concrete bases for equipment and many electrical works such as the grounding network in accordance with IEEE80 and the power transformer’s erection.

Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering

The Service consisted on surveying existing electrical facilities in order to determine the consequences they could suffer in an eventual general shutdown, storage availability, and response times in case of an eventuality.

Rules, standards and regulations applied:

  • Electrical Works: IEEE,IRAM, IEC, DIN, AEA 90365, ISA S5.1

In order to attend safety rules requirements we were asked to survey the lighting level all over the plant, and design the best solution in order to get the requirement lighting value.

Rules, standards and regulations applied:

  • Electrical Works: Normas IRAM, IEC, DIN, IEEE.
  • ISA S5.1
  • IRAM AADL
